Students lined up outside the Xfinity Center on May 2 to see opening acts Ravyn Lenae and Teezo Touchdown, as well as headliner Tinashe, as part of Student Entertainment Events’ annual Art Attack.

Tinashe was announced to headline SEE’s Art Attack after the release of her most recent album “Quantum Baby,” which includes the hit “Nasty.”

Special guest Lenae opened the show, winning over the audience with her presence. Less than a month after her Coachella performance, Lenae blessed the University of Maryland with songs like “Love Me Not” and “Dream Girl,” which features Ty Dolla $ign.

Following Lenae, Teezo Touchdown stunned the audience with his photoshoot-inspired stage design, which included a bouquet of flowers used as a microphone. His fans sang along to “Too Easy,” which features Isaiah Rusk, as well as his songs from his unreleased album.

Senior computer science and mathematics double major Anuja Katukam became a new fan of Teezo Touchdown because of his personality.

“Low-key, I only went for Tinashe,” Katukam said. “I genuinely had the time of my life just with him [Teezo Touchdown] being there.”

Welcomed by fans, the singer hit the stage with her two dancers. With the momentum from the first two artists, Tinashe started with “Getting No Sleep” until she had technical difficulties with her microphone.

Tinashe held the stage, even when her microphone gave out.

She took a moment to connect with her fans and take photos with them during the pause. Tinashe continued through her performance as the crowd chanted her name and sang along to songs such as “2 On” and “Nasty.”

Hawa Diarrassouba, a sophomore information science major, enjoyed the concert experience.

“I feel like [waiting to get in] made the concert feel even more special when we ended up getting inside. It’s like feeling like a kid waiting in line for Disneyland,” Diarrassouba said.

Diarrassouba described  Lenae as “calming”, Teezo Touchdown’s performance as “an immersive experience,” and “when I think of Tinashe, I think …that’s the nasty girl,” she said.
