Mario Morais is a senior information science major and the editor-in-chief of The Black Explosion. He joined the paper in his freshman year, focusing on LGBTQ+ issues within the Black community. Later, he transitioned to writing investigative and data stories. Since joining the paper, he has served as a staff writer, engagement editor and managing editor. He hopes to continue providing impactful and informative coverage for the university's Black community.
